Utiliser le Garmin 498C (chartplotter marine)

GPSMAP 492/498 : cartes côtières préchargées, pêche au large. Connexion CANet pour second traceur. Jusqu'à 3 satellites. 4 pages principales : Carte, Boussole, 3D Highway, Route active. Écran couleur gauche, boutons droite, molette centrale (Rocker).

Initialisation

1er usage : maintenez Power jusqu'au bip. Auto-test → « Enter » pour warning + CGU. Waypoints : « Enter/Mark » = position actuelle (max 3000). Nom optionnel. Édition via page Waypoint Edit.

Créer routes

Max 50 routes. Ex: Vero Beach → Miami avec arrêts. « NAV/MOB » → « Follow Route » → « Create Quick Nav Route » → pointeur carte pour destinations/waypoints → « Quit » x2 pour démarrer.

Homme à la mer (MOB)

Appui long « NAV/MOB » → « Enter » : navigation vers point MOU. Arrêt : « NAV » → « Stop Navigation » → « Enter ». Waypoint MOB créé auto.

Appels détresse (DSC)

Réception appels détresse → log page Notification (heure, position, type, nom/num). Max 50. Vérification : « ADJ/MENU » → onglet DSC → Call List → Rocker → « Enter ». Navigation vers appel : « NAV » → « MMSI/Name » → « Enter ».

Explorer cartes

Page Map : zoom « Range/Downrange », Rocker pour pointeur. Marquer/éditer waypoints/routes. Survol pointeur = description. « Quit » pour recentrer bateau.
