Bouchons batterie : Ouverts ou fermés en charge ? Selon type batterie.
La réponse dépend entièrement de la chimie et conception batterie. Mauvais choix = explosion, incendie, ou dommage.
Par type batterie
| Type Batterie | Bouchons Charge | Pourquoi | Exemples |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plomb Ouverte (FLA) (Auto, Marine, Chariot golf, Chariot élévateur) | OUVERTS (Lâches/Ventilés) | Charge produit H₂ + O₂ gaz. Bouchons ouverts = gaz s'échappent, évite surpression & explosion. Permet vérification/niveau eau. | Batterie auto, Trojan T-105, Rolls Surrette |
| Plomb Étanche (VRLA - AGM / Gel) | FERMÉS (Scellés) | Design recombinant : Gaz recombinent internement. Jamais ouvrir. Ouverture casse joint, introduit O₂ → assèche électrolyte, ruine batterie. Soupape pression évente seulement si surcharge. | UPS, Alarme, Solaire (AGM/Gel), Fauteuil roulant, Moto (MF) |
| Lithium-Ion / LiFePO₄ (Téléphone, Portable, Outil portatif, VE, Solaire) | FERMÉS (Scellés) | Pas génération gaz fonctionnement normal. Hermétiquement scellés. Ouverture = risque incendie/explosion (humidité air + électrolyte), dommage BMS. BMS gère équilibrage/évent. | 18650, 21700, LiFePO₄ prismatique, Téléphone, Portable, Powerwall |
| NiMH / NiCd (AA/AAA, Packs) | FERMÉS (Scellés) | Recombinant (modernes). Évent seulement surcharge sévère. Ne pas ouvrir. | Eneloop, Outils portatifs, Packs RC |
Comment identifier votre batterie
- Étiquette : « Flooded », « Wet », « Maintenance Free », « AGM », « Gel », « VRLA », « Li-ion », « LiFePO4 », « NiMH ».
- Bouchons : Bouchons amovibles (FLA) vs Pas bouchons amovibles / scellé (VRLA, Li-ion, NiMH).
- Application : Démarrage auto = FLA (généralement). UPS/Solaire = AGM/Gel. Téléphone/Portable/VE = Li-ion.
Règles sécurité universelles
- Chargez en zone ventilée (surtout FLA).
- Utilisez chargeur correct (tension, courant, algorithme) pour chimie.
- Jamais charger batterie endommagée, gonflée, gelée, ou chaude.
- Jamais laisser charger sans surveillance nuit (Li-ion surtout).
