Chargeur démarrage Windows 7 (Bootmgr) : architecture, processus, dépannage

Le chargeur démarrage Windows 7 (officiellement Windows Boot Manager — bootmgr) est composant initié firmware qui transitionne initialisation matériel vers chargement noyau OS.

Composants

• bootmgr (dans partition System Reserved ou C:\ racine) — Lit BCD, présente menu, lance winload.exe.
• BCD (Boot Configuration Data) — Stockage type registre (\Boot\BCD) décrivant entrées OS, paramètres, chemins périphériques, ordre affichage, timeout.
• winload.exe — Chargeur noyau ; initialise HAL, charge noyau (ntoskrnl.exe), pilotes démarrage, ruche registre.
• MBR / GPT — Table partitions + code bootstrap (premiers 440/446 octets disque) qui charge bootmgr.

Séquence démarrage

1. POST → BIOS/UEFI initialise matériel.
2. Firmware lit MBR (BIOS) ou Partition Système EFI (UEFI) → exécute bootstrap.
3. Bootstrap charge bootmgr.
4. bootmgr lit BCD → affiche menu (si multi-OS/timeout > 0).
5. Entrée sélectionnée → bootmgr appelle winload.exe sur partition cible.
6. winload.exe → noyau → gestionnaire session → winlogon → bureau.

Pannes courantes et réparations
