Comment configurer un HTPC (Home Theater PC)
Un HTPC (Home Theater PC) fusionne PC personnel et home-cinéma : streaming, archivage films, musique, jeux, web, TV live/enregistrement. Projet accessible aux technophiles : facile, personnalisable, moins cher qu'un boîtier multimédia commercial haut de gamme.
Matériel nécessaire
- PC (tour, mini-PC, barebone)
- TV HD / Vidéoprojecteur
- RAM (DDR4/DDR5 selon CPU)
- Tuner TV (interne carte PCIe ou externe USB)
- Lecteur Blu-ray (interne ou externe USB)
- Câbles : HDMI (recommandé), RCA, YPbPr, S-Vidéo, Coaxial selon ports
- Clavier/souris sans fil (ou télécommande MCE/IR/Bluetooth)
- Système audio (ampli + enceintes ou barre de son)
- Logiciel Media Center (Windows Media Center, Kodi, Plex, Jellyfin, MediaPortal...)
- Carte graphique (GPU) avec sortie HDMI, support HEVC/H.265, HDCP 2.2 pour 4K protégé
Instructions
Vérifiez le hardware existant : CPU dual-core 2,6 GHz min (moderne : i3/Ryzen 3 ou mieux). RAM : 2 Go min (4-8 Go recommandés, 16 Go confort). Stockage : SSD système (256-512 Go) + HDD/SSD données (2 To+ pour films).
Carte graphique & son : GPU avec HDMI 2.0/2.1 (4K@60/120 Hz, HDR, HDCP 2.2). Décodage matériel HEVC/H.265/VP9/AV1. Carte son : 5.1/7.1 analogique ou HDMI/optique vers ampli. GPU intégrés récents (Intel UHD/Iris Xe, AMD Radeon 600M/700M) suffisent pour 4K lecture.
Tuner TV : Carte interne (PCIe, ex: Hauppauge, TBS, Digital Devices) ou boîtier USB (ex: Hauppauge WinTV, Geniatech). 1 ou 2 tuners (DVB-T/T2/C/S2). PCIe = plus stable, USB = plus facile.
Lecteur Blu-ray : Interne (SATA, 5,25") ou externe USB. Pour disques commerciaux : MakeMKV (rip) + lecture via Kodi/Plex. Protection AACS/BD+ gérée par logiciel.
Périphériques sans fil : Clavier/trackpad sans fil (Logitech K400+, K830, Rii mini) ou télécommande IR/Bluetooth/RF (Flirc + Harmony, télécommande MCE).
OS & Logiciel Media Center : Windows 10/11 (Pro pour différer MAJ) ou Linux (Ubuntu, LibreELEC, CoreELEC, OSMC). Media Center :
• Kodi (gratuit, open-source, skins, addons, PVR, excellent).
• Plex / Jellyfin (client-serveur, transcodage, accès distant, apps mobiles/TV).
• MediaPortal 2 / NextPVR (PVR avancé, EPG, enregistrement).
• Windows Media Center (obsolète, W7/W8 seulement, community patches W10/11).Connexions : HDMI PC→TV (vidéo+audio). HDMI/Optique PC→Ampli (son). Composante/RCA/S-Vidéo si vieux appareils. Tuner TV : antenne/câble/satellite → tuner → PC.
Stockage externe : NAS (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS) ou DAS (USB 3.0/3.1/Thunderbolt) RAID 1/5/6, 4-12 To+. Pour bibliothèque films/séries/musique/photos. Sauvegarde 3-2-1.
Conseils pro : Mode « Kiosk » / démarrage auto sur Kodi/Plex. GPU : pilotes propriétaires à jour. Réseau : Ethernet filaire 1 Gbps min (streaming 4K remux = 50-100 Mbps). Refroidissement silencieux (Noctua, be quiet!). Alim 80+ Gold. Boîtier mini-ITX (HDPLEX, Streacom, Akasa) pour silence total (passif).
